DIRECTOR OF FORENSICS
Daniela is a student at the University of California, Berkeley, double majoring in Political Science and Chicanx/Latinx Studies with a minor in Public Policy. As a community college transfer and the daughter of migrant farmworkers, she created this organization to close inequality gaps in education created by paid K-12 speech and debate programs.
DIRECTOR OF ETHNIC STUDIES
Layla is an undergraduate student at the University of California, Berkeley, double majoring in Philosophy and Ethnic Studies. She is currently a professor’s assistant for multiple lower division Philosophy courses at San Joaquin Delta College and an intern at the Student Senate of California Community Colleges.
MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH DIRECTOR
Veronica is a middle school student and a dedicated leader at her school, where she is involved in various clubs and leadership positions. She is an advocate for youth mental health awareness and immigrant rights. She enjoys digital art and debate.
HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH DIRECTOR
Guadalupe is a high school student interested in writing, public speaking, and business. In her free time, she enjoys playing basketball and softball.
DIRECTOR OF OUTREACH
Bryan is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, earning a B.A. in Global Studies with a concentration in Latin American Peace and Conflict and a minor in Journalism. Originally from Delano, California, he has multiple years experience in organizing and advocacy work. Bryan is a filmmaker and screenwriter, with experience directing documentary films for different affinity groups and advocacy organizations.

Debate Curriculum
HEAD INSTRUCTOR OF LINCOLN DOUGLAS DEBATE
Karina attends San Joaquin Delta College, where she pursues a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies. She has been a member of the Delta Speech and Debate team for a year and a half, competing in Parliamentary debate, Lincoln Douglas, IPDA, Impromptu, and Extemporaneous speaking. During her first year at Delta, she felt lost and considered dropping out. She was inspired to keep learning after taking Argumentation and Debate with Joseph Barrows, where she was encouraged to join the debate team. Speech and debate taught her she is capable of far more than she once believed, inspiring her to continue her degree and journey in forensics.

Gio Galli is a Communications undergraduate student at San Joaquin Delta College and an incoming transfer student at the University of the Pacific. He has competed in parliamentary debate for over three years, winning awards at the regional, state, and national levels. He is a recipient of the University of the Pacific’s merit-based scholarship for debate competitors.

HEAD INSTRUCTOR OF INTERPRETATION EVENTS
Giovonni Tilley is currently a student at San Joaquin Delta College, where he is a member or the Dark Horse Forensics Team, a journalist at We Flow Radio, and an active coach for the Stockton Youth Poetry team. While primarily competing in Speech Interpretation, he loves speech events as a whole, and is constantly seeking new and creative voices to educate and train.

Cec is a Communication Studies undergraduate student at Modesto Junior College, where they compete on MJC’s Speech and debate team, winning multiple awards for their platform speeches on the regional, state, and national level.

Adam is an undergraduate student at San Joaquin Delta College and an incoming transfer student at the University of the Pacific, majoring in Communication Studies and minoring in Political Science. As a member of the forensics community for nearly two years, Adam has experience in a multiple of events such as Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Parliamentary Debate, Informative Speaking, Communication Analysis, After-Dinner Speaking, Reader’s Theater, Impromptu, Extemporaneous Speaking, and Prose. Through speech and debate, Adam was able to achieve his goal of improving his communication skills and developing as an individual.

Annum is a third year undergraduate student at San Francisco State University, where she majors in Communication Studies and participates on SFSU’s student government. A previous captain of San Joaquin Delta College’s speech and debate team, Annum has two years of experience competing in parliamentary debate, winning awards for her talents on the state and national level.
